Palestinian Resistance and Nonviolence
Author: Andrew Rigby (2010)
A short monograph reviewing phases of the Palestinian national struggle through the lens of nonviolent resistance, seeking to identify the extent to which different periods of struggle manifested a 'nonviolent' dimension. The book looks at various historic phases from the late nineteenth-early twentieth century Palestinian protest against Jewish immigration under the Ottoman Turkish empire, through to the first and second intifadas and the growth of the boycott, divestment, sanctions (BDS) campaign up to 2010.
