Why not wear your red Keffiyeh with flare?

Posted by Cristal Opacic on

This week, we focus on a beautiful feature item that will bring life to your wardrobe, the Keffiyeh.

The traditional Palestinian scarf is known as Keffiyeh. The local manufacturing of the symbol of the Palestinian struggle for freedom is vanishing as most Keffiyeh’s sold around the world, and even in Palestine, are made internationally. Today, only one factory remains in Palestine: The Hirbawi family in Hebron continues to weave the only original Keffiyeh made in Palestine. We are proud to stock Hirbawi Keffiyeh at the Palestine Center for Peace.

This versatile item can be worn in a variety of different ways – you can dress it up or down! This beautiful scarf will bring meaningful style to your wardrobe and is the ideal accessory to elevate your look!

Did you know?

The keffiyeh or kufiya is a traditional Middle Eastern headdress fashioned from a square scarf, usually made of cotton. Its distinctive standard woven checkered pattern is thought to have originated from an ancient Mesopotamian representation of either fishing nets or ears of grain, however the true origin of the pattern remains unknown.

This keffiyeh scarf is available in red and black.

Why not buy this lovely keffiyeh as a gift for a loved one?  We also have a selection of cards and gift bags to accompany your gift.

Behind every gift is an artisan in Palestine empowered by you. Shop now for the ‘gift that gives twice’ at the Palestine Center for Peace.
